As soon as they are commissioned, all UCOPIA boxes are administered by a system for services management platform.

They can therefore be monitored, configured, administered and remotely maintained, individually or by group.

The platform allows you to automate certain tasks such as installing licences or downloading updates. When installed, the controller identifies itself to a services management platform at UCOPIA, which enables the corresponding license key. The controller is registered in UCOPIA's equipment pool management system.

Every night, the UCOPIA controller interrogates the services management platform to check for possible updates, then downloads these. By configuration, the client decides whether the updates are applied automatically or at his discretion. Managing the equipment pool plays a part in providing end clients with a better service, enhanced responsiveness and improved efficiency on the part of technicians (remote intervention).

Since July 2008, all new versions of the UCOPIA software incorporate this function of equipment pool management.

For older versions, all you need to do is migrate them to a V3.0 R4 or later version of the UCOPIA software.
